Men's Basketball falls at Albion

The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team will have to wait as they seek their tenth win of the season. The Hornets fell 79-57 at Albion College tonight.

Kalamazoo opened the game with a 10-0 run. The lead quickly turned into a deficit as Albion evened the score at 10 before taking the lead midway through the first half. Albion led 30-24 at halftime and outscored the Hornets 49-33 in the second half.

Steve Thwaites paced Kalamazoo with 12 points, connecting on 4-of-7 three-point attempts. Adam Verseput scored 11 and pulled down a team-high nine rebounds while Brad Phillips chipped in 10.

Kalamazoo shot 31 percent and grabbed 33 rebounds. Albion shot 48 percent and pulled down 45 boards.

Kalamazoo falls to 9-6 (3-2 MIAA) on the season and hosts Defiance College on Saturday at 3:00.
