Men's Basketball wins at Purdue-Calumet

The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team won its first road game of the season defeating Purdue-Calumet 84-65 in Hammond, Indiana tonight.

Brad Phillips led all scorers with 24 points. Dirk Rhinehart and Steve Thwaites added 15 while Nick DeYoung scored 11. Kalamazoo shot 45 percent to Purdue-Calumet's 37 percent. Kalamazoo held the rebounding edge 30-27.

Kalamazoo is off to a 6-3 start and plays Aquinas College on Sunday at 4:00 at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids.
