Men's Basketball wins Holiday Classic

The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team defeated the College of Wooster 62-54 in defense of its title of the Micro Vane Holiday Classic at Kalamazoo College.

The Hornets trailed 27-26 at halftime before outscoring the Scots 36-27 in the second half. Kalamazoo shot 40 percent from the field while holding Wooster to 29 percent. Kalamazoo outrebounded Wooster 40-35.

Kalamazoo was led by tournament most valuable player Brad Phillips' 18 points and eight rebounds. All-Tournament selections Dirk Rhinehart and Steve Thwaites added 14 and 10 points respectively.
