ANGOLA, Ind. - The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team's
season came to an end with a 60-47 loss at Tri-State in the
opening round of the MIAA Tournament on Wednesday, Feb. 21.
Tri-State led Kalamazoo 28-22 at halftime.
Kalamazoo had its worst shooting performance of the season,
making just 13 field goals and shooting 22.8 percent from
the field. The only other time Kalamazoo shot under 33 percent
this season was their previous game at Tri-State (Feb. 7).
Kalamazoo made 5-of-24 three-pointers (20.8%) and 16-of-23
free throws. Tri-State shot 34.5 percent from the field and
made 11-of-29 three-pointers and 11-of-13 free throws.
Rebounding was even at 43 apiece. Kalamazoo had 12 turnovers
to Tri-State's 14.
Pat Clancy led the Hornets with 16 points. Mat Kellogg scored
eight points with eight rebounds. Tyler Worst finished with
nine points.
Maurice Brooks led Tri-State with 18 points.
