ALBION - The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team suffered
an 83-62 loss at Albion on Saturday.
Despite shooting 52 percent in the first half, Kalamazoo
trailed 43-33 at the break. Albion shot 59.4 percent in the
first half and took advantage of 12 Hornet turnovers. Albion
shot 50 percent for the game while Kalamazoo shot 46.9 percent.
The Hornets made 9-of-22 three-pointers, but 19 turnovers
led to 25 Albion points.
Albion held a 41-24 advantage in rebounds, including 18-7
on the offensive end leading to 21 second-chance points.
Pat Clancy led Kalamazoo with 18 points and three assists
while making 4-of-7 three-pointers. Thomas Greer also sank
4-of-7 three-pointers while scoring 14 points. Mat Kellogg
finished with 10 points.
Zak Silas led four Britons in double figures with 16 points.
Kalamazoo wraps up the regular season with two home games
next week. The Hornets host Olivet on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
and Calvin on Saturday at 3 p.m.
