2006-07 Kalamazoo College Men's Basketball

ELMHURST, Ill. - The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team suffered a 124-104 loss to Grinnell College in the consolation game of the Elmhurst College Tournament on Saturday. Kalamazoo trailed 65-62 at halftime, but the Hornets were outscored 59-42 in the second half.

Grinnell shot 44.2 percent from the field and made 27-of-59 three-point attempts. Kalamazoo shot 62.1 percent from the field but had 28 fewer shot attempts overall. The Hornets turned the ball over 32 times while Grinnell had just 11 turnovers. Kalamazoo was 27-of-40 at the free throw line. Grinnell was 21-of-29.

Mat Kellogg led six Hornets in double figures with 30 points and 11 rebounds. Tyler Worst scored 14, Nate Orozco 13, Brad Brinkman 12, and Pat Clancy and Thomas Greer scored 11 points each.
