KALAMAZOO - Manchester scored the eventual game-winner with
27 seconds left en route to a 67-66 win. Kalamazoo had an
open look at the end of the game but it hit the iron.
Kalamazoo shot 45.3 percent from the field while holding
Manchester to 40 percent. Each team made 11 free throws. Kalamazoo
held a 36-35 rebounding edge, but committed one more turnover
(13-12) than Manchester.
Ryan Konwinski led the Hornets with 16 points and six rebounds
on 7-of-10 shooting. Tony Wichmann scored 15 points with six
rebounds. Tyler Worst added 11 points and four rebounds off
the bench.
Julian Guess led Manchester with 15 points and five rebounds.
Kevin Kuhn scored 11 points and David Mattingly added 10.
Kalamazoo returns to action at home on Saturday at 5 p.m.
against Wisconsin Lutheran.
