2004-05 Kalamazoo College Men's Basketball

KALAMAZOO - The men's basketball team lost its MIAA opener 72-61 at home to Alma on Wednesday. Kalamazoo led 32-27 at halftime.

The Hornets committed 18 turnovers resulting in 21 Alma points, while the Scots lost the ball just six times. Alma shot 41.7 percent from the field while holding Kalamazoo to 37.7 percent.

Kyle Konwinski led the Hornets with 20 points and nine rebounds. He was 5-of-8 from three-point range. Eli Savit added 11 points on 5-of-7 shooting. Tim Herman scored 10 points.

Anthony Jones led Alma with 21 points and eight rebounds. Mark Barnes scored 16 points with 12 rebounds. Isaac Smith scored 11 points with seven rebounds.

The Hornets return to action this Saturday at Olivet.
