KALAMAZOO - The men's basketball team fell 74-63 to league-leading
Albion on Wednesday. Albion led 38-36 at halftime, but jumped
out to a 13-point lead in the first five minutes of the second
half and led by at least 10 points the rest of the way.
Albion shot 49.1 percent from the field while holding Kalamazoo
to 40.7 percent. Albion outrebounded the Hornets 43-21, including
13-6 on the offensive end.
Tony Wichmann led the Hornets with 14 points on 6-of-10 shooting.
Roger Garfield and Ryan Konwinski each scored 10 points.
Brandon Crawford led Albion with 26 points and 10 rebounds.
Mike Thomas scored 16 points and Lonny Fulse added 11.
Kalamazoo travels to Alma on Saturday as they begin the second
half of the MIAA season.
