GRAND RAPIDS - The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team fell 79-67 at Calvin on Saturday. The Hornets led 41-30 at halftime, but were outscored 49-26 in the second half.
Kalamazoo shot 44.8 percent while Calvin shot 41 percent. Calvin sank 22-of-31 free throws while Kalamazoo was 8-of 11 at the line. Kalamazoo had 16 turnovers to Calvin's eight.
Tony Wichmann and Jevon Caldwell-Gross each had 14 points and seven rebounds to lead Kalamazoo. Phil Weaver added 11 points with five rebounds for the Hornets.
Dan Aultman led Calvin with 18 points. Chris Prins added 16 points and Kevin Broene finished with 12.
