KALAMAZOO - The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team fell 82-76 at home to Hope College on Wednesday. Kalamazoo trailed 32-31 at halftime.
Hope shot 48.2 percent from the field and 50 percent from three-point range (9-18) while Kalamazoo shot 43.1 percent overall and 36.4 percent from behind the arch (8-22). Hope held a 34-33 rebounding edge.
Tony Wichmann led the Hornets with 25 points and seven rebounds. Tim Herman and Jevon Caldwell-Gross scored 12 points each, and Kyle Konwinski finished with 10 points and four assists.
Daane Griffeth led Hope with 24 points on 8-of-13 shooting. Kyle Kleersnyder scored 16 points with eight rebounds. Travis Spaman and Greg Immink each scored 11 points. Andy Phillips finished with eight points, five rebounds and five assists for the Flying Dutchmen (18-4, 7-2 MIAA).
