Kalamazoo College

KALAMAZOO - The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team fell to 1-3 on the season with a 72-60 loss to Goshen College on Saturday. Goshen led 41-27 at halftime.

Goshen shot 38.9 percent from the field while Kalamazoo shot 40.4 percent, however the Maple Leafs sank 23-of-28 free throws to the Hornets 12-of-13. Goshen held a 40-30 rebounding advantage, and picked up 15 on the offensive end.

Jevon Caldwell-Gross led Kalamazoo with 17 points and three assists. Tony Wichmann scored 13 points with five rebounds. Tim Herman had 10 points and a team-high seven rebounds. Chris Elliott added 10 points.

Eric Walsh led Goshen with 14 points and eight rebounds. Jeremy High and Darin Nunemaker each scored 13 points for the Maple Leafs (11-1 overall).

Kalamazoo returns to action next Wednesday, Dec. 10 at Manchester College (Ind.).
