Kalamazoo College

MANCHESTER, Ind. - The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team defeated Manchester College 70-69 in overtime on Wednesday. Each team scored 30 points in the first half and 32 points in the second half, but the Hornets outscored the Spartans 8-7 in the extra period, which was capped off by Tony Wichmann's game-winning dunk with 11 seconds left on the clock.

Tim Herman recorded his first career double-double with career highs in points (15) and rebounds (10) along with three assists. Jevon Caldwell-Gross also scored 15 points with two assists and three steals. Tony Wichmann finished with 14 points and seven rebounds. Ryan Konwinski added 12 points.

Sydney McDaniel led Manchester with 23 points. Kevin Kuhn added 10 points for the Spartans (3-4 overall).

Kalamazoo shot 44.6 percent from the field while holding Manchester to 36.5 percent. Manchester held a 41-39 rebounding edge.

Kalamazoo (2-3) travels to Wisconsin Lutheran College on Saturday, Dec. 13.
