CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. - The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team lost 81-69 to Wabash College in the season opener at the 2003 Little Giant Tipoff Classic. Kalamazoo led 38-37 at halftime, but was outscored 44-31 in the second half.
Ryan Konwinski, Tony Wichmann, Chris Elliott, and Robert Boyle each scored 10 points for the Hornets. Tim Herman had a team-high six rebounds and four assists.
Zeljko Gavranovic led Wabash with 17 points and nine rebounds.
Kalamazoo shot 41.1 percent from the field while Wabash shot 43.8 percent. Rebounding was even at 38 a pieice. Kalamazoo committed 23 turnovers while Wabash had only 15 turnovers.
