ALMA - The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team recovered from a 12-point second-half deficit to defeat Alma 71-66 in the MIAA opener for both teams. The score was tied 34-34 at halftime.
Jevon Caldwell-Gross led Kalamazoo with 15 points. Chris Elliott scored 12 points with 10 rebounds. Tony Wichmann finished with 10 points. Kalamazoo shot 42.6 percent from the field.
Anthony Jones led Alma with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Alma shot 37.1 percent from the field. Alma held a 43-32 rebounding advantage.
