KALAMAZOO - The men's basketball team defeated U of M - Dearborn 84-62 in a non-conference game on Saturday. Kalamazoo led 37-29 at halftime.
Dirk Rhinehart led the Hornets with 20 points on 9-of-13 shooting and seven assists. Mike King finished with 13 points and nine rebounds. Scott Montmorency had 10 points and nine rebounds. Kevin Baird also finished with 10 points.
Devon Banks led the Wolves (7-20) with 25 points and nine rebounds.
Kalamazoo shot 51.4 percent from the field while holding UM-Dearborn to 32.3 percent. Kalamazoo outrebounded UMD 60-25.
UM-Dearborn played the entire game with only five players.
Kalamazoo (16-4) hosts Adrian College on Wednesday at 7:30.
