ALMA - The men's basketball team defeated Alma 86-68 on Wednesday. Kalamazoo led by seven points (42-35) at halftime.
Kalamazoo shot 53.8 percent from the field while Alma shot 45.3 percent. Kalamazoo held a 38-23 rebounding advantage.
Dirk Rhinehart led all scorers with 16 points and six rebounds. Nathan Burns and Scott Montmorency each added 15 points.
Joe Baysdell led Alma with 15 points and five rebounds. Marcus Staten added 12 points and five rebounds for the Scots (1-19 / 0-8 MIAA).
Kalamazoo (15-4 / 5-3 MIAA) hosts non-conference opponent U of M-Dearborn on Saturday at 1 p.m.
