KALAMAZOO - The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team recovered from a 32-29 halftime deficit and pulled away with a 74-59 win over Calvin College on Saturday.
Kalamazoo shot 45.6 percent while holding Calvin to just 32.8 percent shooting. Kalamazoo held a 46-40 rebounding advantage.
Jevon Caldwell-Gross led the Hornets with 15 points and five rebounds. Dirk Rhinehart scored 13 points while brother Erik scord 12 points with eight rebounds. Nathan Burns added 10 points and six rebounds. Kevin Baird scored eight points with seven rebounds.
Jeremy Veenstra led Calvin with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Kevin Broene added 12 points for the Knights (11-8 / 4-3 MIAA).
Kalamazoo (14-4 / 4-3 MIAA) travels to Alma College on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
