WOOSTER, Ohio - The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team rolled to a 78-63 win over Illinois College at the Wooster College Tournament. Kalamazoo will play in Sunday's 4 p.m. championship game.
Dirk Rhinehart led Kalamazoo with 23 points and six rebounds. Erik Rhinehart scored 11 points with six rebounds. Jevon Caldwell-Gross scored 10 points. Scott Montmorency added eight points and eight rebounds. Mike King added four points and a team-high nine rebounds.
Garrett Ingram led Illinois with 19 points and eight rebounds.
Kalamazoo shot 41.7 percent from the field while holding Illinois to 35.4 percent. Kalamazoo went to the free throw line 39 times but sank only 21 shots (57.8%). Illinois was 13-of-22 at the line. Kalamazoo outrebounded Illinois 56-36.
