Kalamazoo College

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team improved to 4-0 with a 70-56 win at Concordia University on Tuesday. Kalamazoo led by just three points with two minutes remaining when several Concordia turnovers and timely shooting by the Hornets led to the lopsided score. Kalamazoo led 27-26 at halftime.

Scott Montmorency led Kalamazoo with 18 points and six rebounds. Erik Rhinehart added 17 points. Dirk Rhinehart did not play because of an injury.

Kalamazoo shot 42.1 percent from the field while holding Concordia to 36.2 percent. Each team made eight three-pointers. Kalamazoo was 14-of-21 at the free throw line while Concordia made 6-of-6 at the line.

Concordia held a 41-33 rebounding advantage. Concordia had 26 turnovers while Kalamazoo had 17 turnovers.

Kalamazoo plays Marian College on Friday at the Wabash College Tournament.
