
ANGOLA. Ind. - The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team improved to 9-1 heading into conference play with a 71-58 win over Tri-State University on Saturday. Kalamazoo led 28-24 at halftime.
Dirk Rhinehart led Kalamazoo with 17 points and eight rebounds. Scott Montmorency and Jevon Caldwell-Gross each scored 16 points.
Marqus Husband led Tri-State with 10 points.
Kalamazoo shot 49 percent from the field and made 10-of-22 three-pointers. Tri-State was held to 40 percent shooting.
Kalamazoo opens up conference play on Wednesday, Jan. 8 at Calvin College.
