
HOLLAND - The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team lost 100-35 at Hope College on Wednesday. Kalamazoo trailed 46-25 at halftime.
Kalamazoo shot just 26 percent from the field and went 0-for-17 from three-point range. Hope shot 56.3 percent from the field and hit 9-of-16 three-pointers. The Hornets committed 21 turnovers while Hope had just six turnovers. Hope held a 43-31 rebounding advantage.
Nathan Burns led Kalamazoo with eight points.
Don Overbeek led Hope (15-3 / 5-1 MIAA) with 21 points and six rebounds. Jeff Carlson added 13 points and Travis Spaman finished with 11 points.
Kalamazoo (13-4 / 3-3 MIAA) hosts Calvin at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
