KALAMAZOO - The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team rallied to beat Albion 67-62 on Wednesday. Albion led 22-20 at halftime.

A relatively sloppy game saw Albion commit 21 turnovers while Kalamazoo had 20 turnovers. The Hornets shot a dismal 18.2 percent (4-22) in the first half while managing to finish at 38.6 percent for the game. Albion shot only 35.6 percent for the game. Kalamazoo was solid at the free throw line, connecting on 25-of-28 attempts for 89.3 percent. Albion was 26-of-34 at the line (76.5%). Albion held a 35-28 rebounding advantage.

Dirk Rhinehart led Kalamazoo with 19 points and five assists. Tony Wichmann was strong off the bench, finishing with 10 points on 3-of-3 shooting and 4-of-4 at the free throw line. Nathan Burns and Erik Rhinehart added eight and seven points, respectively, off the bench. Mike King led the team with five rebounds.

Michael Thomas led Albion with 18 points and four rebounds. Andrew Neidlinger was held to 10 points and six rebounds on 3-of-9 shooting.

Kalamazoo is 15-8 overall and 7-3 in the MIAA. The Hornets travel to Adrian on Saturday.
