KALAMAZOO - The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team tied a school record with 14 three-pointers in a 86-67 win over Olivet on Wednesday. Kalamazoo also set a school record for three-pointers in a season with 190. The Hornets were 14-of-23 for 60.9 percent from behind the arc.

Scott Montmorency hit 5-of-7 three-pointers and finished with a game-high 22 points and six rebounds. Dirk Rhinehart scored 18 points with six assists. Jevon Caldwell-Gross and Nathan Burns each finished with 11 points.

Mike Miller led Olivet with 15 points. Michael Dyson scored 14 points and Travis Schellhammer finished with 10 points.

Kalamazoo shot 50.0 percent from the field while Olivet shot 46.0 percent. The Hornets were 22-of-30 at the free throw line while Olivet made 15-of-20 at the charity stripe. Kalamazoo held a 32-26 rebounding advantage.

Kalamazoo (16-9, 8-4 MIAA) has a bye on Saturday. With tonight's win the Hornets clinch at least third place in the MIAA and the right to host a first round MIAA Tournament game next Wednesday.
