Kalamazoo College

KALAMAZOO - The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team improved to 4-0 with a 64-48 win over Goshen College (2-6) on Tuesday. The Hornets are off to their best start since the 1993-94 season.

Dirk Rhinehart led Kalamazoo with 14 points and four assists. Jevon Caldwell-Gross had nine points, seven rebounds, and five assists. Scott Montmorency scored nine points with five rebounds and two blocked shots. Nate Troyer and Erik Rhinehart each scored nine points as well. Nathan Burns finished with eight points.

Pete Gaff and Jeremy High each scored 13 points for Goshen.

Kalamazoo shot 43.4 percent from the field while holding Goshen to 38.6 percent shooting. Kalamazoo held a 35-28 rebounding edge, and the Hornets committed 12 turnovers while Goshen had 18 turnovers.

Kalamazoo (4-0) travels to a tournament at Spring Arbor University this weekend. The Hornets face Marian College at 6 p.m. on Friday.
