
KALAMAZOO - The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team improved to 3-0 on the season with a 74-36 win over Concordia University on Saturday.
Kalamazoo shot 58.0 percent from the field while holding Concordia to just 27.3 percent overall and 10.0 percent (2-20) from three point range. Kalamazoo held a 40-24 rebounding advantage.
Scott Montmorency led all scorers with 22 points on 10-of-14 shooting. He also had five rebounds, two blocked shots, and three steals. Mike King added 10 points and a game-high seven rebounds. Nate Troyer chipped in nine points. Kevin Baird had six points, four blocked shots, three assists, and three steals. Jevon Caldwell-Gross and Nathan Burns each had five assists.
DeOndre'Head led Concordia with seven points and six rebounds.
Kalamazoo led 38-21 at halftime and outscored Concordia 36-15 in the second half.
Kalamazoo (3-0) plays its final home game of 2001 on Tuesday against Goshen College.
