Men's Basketball falls to Hanover

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - Hanover College (Ind.) improved to 10-0 on the season as they defeated Kalamazoo College 88-60 in the opening round of a tournament at Wittenberg University.

Hanover, ranked 22nd in the nation by D3hoops.com, shot 58.3 percent from the field and 90.9 percent from the free throw line. Kalamazoo shot 47.7 percent from the field but only 53.3 percent from the line. Hanover dominated the boards as they held a 34-13 rebounding advantage.

Scott Montmorency led Kalamazoo with 16 points on 7-of-8 shooting. Hanover's Derrick Clevenger led all scorers with 19 points.

Hanover led 45-33 at halftime and outscored the Hornets 43-27 in the second half.

Kalamazoo (4-7) will face the loser of the Beloit College/Wittenberg University game at 6 p.m. on Saturday.
