Men's Basketball falls at buzzer

NEW CONCORD, Ohio - Muskingum's Mike Moler hit a three pointer as time expired and the Muskies escaped with a 68-65 victory over Kalamazoo College in the championship game of the Muskingum College Holiday Tournament.

Kalamazoo overcame a 39-33 halftime deficit to make the game interesting. A timeout was called with three seconds left to set up the shot for Moler.

Dirk Rhinehart led Kalamazoo with 14 points and six assists. Doug Lepisto added 12 points and six rebounds. Mike Moler led the Muskies with 24 points.

Kalamazoo shot 44.4 percent for the game while holding Muskingum to 36.5 percent. The Hornets also held a 35-27 rebounding advantage. Kalamazoo committed 14 turnovers to Muskingum's eight.

Kalamazoo falls to 4-6 on the season. The Hornets return to action next weekend at a tournament at Wittenberg University (Ohio).
