Kalamazoo Wins at Goshen

GOSHEN, Ind. - The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team outscored Goshen College 40-19 in the second half to roll to their first win of the season, 84-64.

Nathan Burns led five Kalamazoo players in double figures with 17 points and nine rebounds. Doug Lepisto and Dirk Rhinehart each scored 11. Scott Montmorency and Nate Troyer chipped in ten a piece.

Kalamazoo shot 49.2 percent from the field while holding Goshen to 38.5 percent. The Hornets held a 34-24 rebounding advantage.

Goshen led 45-44 at halftime following a 12-4 run in the last three minutes of the half.

Kalamazoo improves to 1-1 on the season. Goshen falls to 3-2 with the loss. The Hornets travel to Concordia College in Ann Arbor this Saturday for a 3 p.m. start.
