- Dedicated May 1, 1956
- Kalamazoo defeated Hope 6-2 in the first game
at Woodworth Field. Kalamazoo scored five runs in
the bottom of the eighth inning to overcome a 2-1
deficit. The leftfielder Harding and the shortstop
Payson were each 2-for-4.
