Eric Gerwin Selected to All-Region Team

Kalamazoo College football player Eric Gerwin (Beverly Hills, Mich./Birmingham Groves) has been selected to the 1999 Football Gazette Division III North Region Second Team.

Gerwin, a senior linebacker, was named MIAA (Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association) Defensive Most Valuable Player after leading Kalamazoo College with 88 tackles and 4.0 sacks in 1999. A team captain, Gerwin ranks second in the school record books with 316 career tackles and third with 10.0 career sacks. A four-year starter, Gerwin has twice been selected to the All-MIAA first defensive team. He recently earned GTE Academic All-District IV honors and received the Ronald Holland Award from the Michigan Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame as the top football student-athlete in Michigan.
