Eric Gerwin Named MIAA Player of the Week

Eric Gerwin was named MIAA Football Defensive Player of the Week today. The senior linebacker made 15 tackles (10 solo), including three for lost yardage and a quarterback sack in the Hornets’ 16-14 loss to Albion.

Gerwin, a senior linebacker from Beverly Hills/Birmingham Groves H.S., leads the Hornet defense with 58 tackles (40 solo) this season. He has 8 tackles for loss including three quarterback sacks.

Kalamazoo College is 1-4 (0-2 MIAA) on the season. The Hornets travel to Alma College this Saturday for a 1:30 p.m. kickoff.
