KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College football team improved
to 3-1 on the season with a 47-27 win over Bluffton University.
Kalamazoo scored the first 31 points of the game and took
a 31-7 lead into halftime.
Brandon Luczak threw four touchdown passes in the first half,
including two to Cory McCain. Luczak finished the day 34-of-47
for a school record 473 yards with five touchdowns and two
interceptions. Luczak also rushed for 51 yards and a score,
and set a school record with 524 yards of total offense.
Cory McCain finished the game with eight catches for 138
yards and three touchdowns. McCain tied the school record
with his 11th touchdown reception of the season.
Jimmy Semelsberger had 10 catches for 139 yards and a score.
Mikael Lott had seven catches for 85 yards. Dimeko Price had
six catches out of the backfield for 93 yards and a touchdown.
Ryan Cochran picked up 43 yards rushing on five carries.
Brandon Foutz led the defense with nine total tackles and
an interception. Nick Sweda had eight tackles, an interception
and two pass-breakups. Nate Kopydlowski, Adam Cares and Ted
Bealin were each in on sacks.
Kalamazoo begins MIAA play next Saturday at home against
Adrian at 1 p.m.
