NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. - The Kalamazoo College football team
scored 34 points in the second half to win 48-37 at Manchester
College (Ind.) on Saturday, Sept. 19.
Kalamazoo trailed 30-14 at halftime and 37-14 just over a
minute into the third quarter, but the Hornets answered with
20 points in the third quarter and 14 in the fourth to claim
the road victory.
Brandon Luczak threw for 452 yards, connecting on 39-of-59
attempts. Luczak threw six touchdown passes for the second
straight week.
Cory McCain had 13 catches for 192 yards with four touchdowns,
including a 77-yard reception early in the second quarter.
Jimmy Semelsberger had 11 catches for 159 yards and a score.
Mikael Lott had five catches for 29 yards and a touchdown.
Stephen Johnston had 13 yards rushing and one tochdown, but
also had 68 yards on nine catches.
Nate Kopydlowski led the defense with eight tackles, one
sack and one fumble recovery. Adam Manix had seven tackles,
two sacks and a forced fumble. Nick Sweda also had seven tackles.
Mike Murray returned an interception 34 yards and Mike Lamrock
also intercepted a pass for the Hornets.
Kalamazoo returns home to host Bluffton on Saturday, Sept.
26 at 1 p.m.
