vs. Adrian College
KALAMAZOO, Mich.- The Kalamazoo College football team suffered
a 62-15 loss to Adrian in the MIAA opener on a soggy Angell
Field on Saturday, Oct. 3. Adrian led 14-3 after the first
quarter and took advantage of a huge second quarter to take
a 41-15 lead into halftime.
Adrian passed for 443 yards and rushed for 194 while holding
Kalamazoo to 335 total yards. Adrian had 35 first downs to
Kalamazoo's 16, and the Bulldogs converted 10-of-17 third
downs compared to just 3-of-15 for Kalamazoo.
Brandon Luczak was 21-of-36 passing for 215 yards with two
touchdowns and three interceptions. Mikael Lott had four catches
for 72 yards with a 60-yard touchdown reception. Ryan Bizzis
had five catches for 62 yards. Jimmy Semelsberger had six
catches for 49 yards.
Dimeko Price rushed for 58 yards on eight carries and had
a four-yard touchdown reception.
Nate Kopydlowski led the defense with 14 total tackles. Brandon
Foutz had 13 tackles. Mike Murray had an interception.
Kalamazoo returns to action next Saturday at Olivet with
a 2 p.m. start.
