ALBION - The Kalamazoo College football team played Albion
to a 7-7 tie nearly seven minutes into the second quarter,
but Albionp rattled off 37 unanswered points to a 44-7 final.
Albion led 28-7 at halftime.
The Hornets scored and tied the game on a three-yard pass
from Tim Kaselitz to Jeff Green with 12:32 left in the second
quarter. The play capped off a six-play, 51-yard drive.
Albion outgained Kalamazoo 549-208 in total offense yards.
After committing no turnovers last week, the Hornets gave
the ball away five times this week, three of which led to
Albion touchdowns.
Tim Kaselitz was 21-of-45 passing for 179 yards with one
touchdown and four interceptions. He was sacked five times.
Jeff Green had eight catches for 78 yards and the touchdown.
Mike Leifeld had eight catches for 77 yards.
Mike Strong had 31 rushing yards on seven carries.
Steve Wasil led Albion with 297 yards passing and four touchdowns.
Kevin Polnasek had five catches for 133 yards and a score.
Troy Rundle had two receiving touchdowns. Mike Gehringer led
Albion with 101 rushing yards and a score.
Chris Werme led the Hornet defense with 10 total tackles
and an interception.
