MILWAUKEE, Wis. - A Wsconsin Lutheran touchdown with 1:15
left in the game lifted the Warriors to a 21-14 homecoming
win over Kalamazoo College.
Kalamazoo took a 7-0 lead on a 10-yard touchdown pass from
Tim Kaselitz to Mike Leifeld with 10:57 left in the second
quarter. Kalamazoo took the 7-0 lead into halftime.
Wis. Lutheran's Matt Kehl scored the first of his three rushing
touchdowns with 1:08 left in the third quarter to tie the
score.
James Woodfork caught a tipped-pass and ran 56 yards to lift
Kalamazoo to a 14-7 lead with 10:59 left in the fourth quarter.
Kehl scored again with 5:45 left in the game, but the Warriors
missed the extra point and trailed 14-13.
The Warriors pulled ahead when Kehl scored his third toucdown
from 12 yards out with 1:15 left in the game, and a successful
two-point conversion gave the Warriors the 21-14 lead.
Kalamazoo's final drive ended with an interception on fourth-and-ten.
Kalamazoo's Tim Kaselitz was 24-of-44 passing for 273 yards
with two touchdowns and two interceptions.
Jeff Green had 10 catches for 106 yards. Mike Leifeld had
five catches for 40 yards. Stan Peplinski had four catches
for 46 yards. James Woodfork had three catches for 67 yards.
Matthew Jarboe had 29 yards rushing on 14 carries.
Jeremy Vanisacker led the defense with 15 total tackles,
including three and a half for lost yardage. Joe Meier had
a 12-yard interception return and two sacks.
Matt Kehl led Wis. Lutheran with 166 yards rushing on 34
carries. The Warriors had 233 total rushing yards.
Phil Hahm was 10-of-21 passing for 90 yards with an interception.
Adam Markham had four catches for 62 yards.
Kalamazoo returns home next Saturday to celebrate homecoming
as the Hornets host Albion College.
