vs. Olivet College
KALAMAZOO - The Kalamazoo College football team lost 42-20
to Olivet at a blustery Angell Field this afternoon. Olivet
led 21-7 at halftime.
Olivet rushed for 353 yards and controlled the ball for nearly
40 minutes. Kalamazoo had 227 yards of total offense. Olivet
was 8-of-14 on third downs while Kalamazoo was 2-of-9.
Tim Kaselitz was 17-of-31 passing for 207 yards with two
touchdowns and one interception. Jeff Green had five catches
for 75 yards and a score. Stan Peplinski had five catches
for 64 yards and a touchdown. James Woodfork had four catches
for 37 yards.
Mike Strong had nine carries for 22 yards. Mike Benson had
nine yards on three carries with a three-yard touchdown run.
Jeremy Vanisacker had 27 total tackles (13 solo). Joe Meier
had 11. Nate Sarnacki and Brian Baucher each had 10 tackles.
Mick Faasen led Olivet with 102 yards rushing on 19 carries.
Travis Sleight had 62 yards on 13 carries with two touchdowns.
Dwight Houston had 60 yards on 10 carries and a score. Jared
Dell rushed for two touchdowns and Drew Nielsen also scored.
Rick Mason's only pass attempt was incomplete.
Blake Wagner led Olivet with six tackles. Ryan Hayes had
five tackles and two sacks.
Kalamazoo will play its final home game of the season next
week against Adrian.
