November 11, 2000 - Kalamazoo College at Adrian College

ADRIAN - Dwight White scored three times as visiting Kalamazoo College defeated Adrian College 24-10. Kalamazoo finishes the season with its first winning record (5-4) since 1993, and the first winning record under third-year head coach Tim Rogers. The Hornets also finish in a tie for second place in the MIAA with a 3-2 mark.

Kalamazoo freshman running back Dwight White matched his career-high with three scores and set a career-high with 138 yards rushing on 16 carries. Justin Gross rushed for 53 yards on 14 carries. Zach Ellis ran for 45 yards on four carries.

At quarterback, Zach Ellis was 8-of-22 for 60 yards with two interceptions. Jason Charnley had two catches for 18 yards. Andy Graham had two for 17 yards and T.J. Thayer had two for eight yards.

Conor Lefere, Mark LaCombe, and Neil Laws each had interceptions for the Hornets. Brett Foster, Neil Laws, and Jude Vanover were each in on quarterback sacks.

Adrian opened the game's scoring with a 37-yard field goal by Phil Andre with 7:28 left in the first quarter. Dwight White ran in a five-yard score with 3:19 left in the first. Tom Hillemeier hit a 23-yard field goal for Kalamazoo with 8:25 left in the second quarter. White scored again on a five-yard run with 3:25 left in the half.

Adrian began the second-half scoring with a two-yard run by Chris Wilson with 9:49 left in the third quarter. Dwight White countered with a 31-yard scoring run just 45 seconds later with 9:04 left in the third.

Kalamazoo finishes the 2000 season with an overall record of 5-4 and a second-place finish in the MIAA with a 3-2 mark. Adrian fell to 2-8 (1-4 MIAA).
