T.J. Thayer Named NCAA III Special Teams Player of the Week

Kalamazoo College football player T.J. Thayer (Lowell, Mich./Lowell) was named NCAA Division III Special Teams Player of the Week by Don Hansen’s National Weekly Football Gazette for the week ending Sept.9, 2000.

In the Hornets 32-16 loss to The College of Wooster, the sophomore Thayer returned five kicks for 128 yards (25.6 yards/return). He also had one punt return of 19 yards.

In addition to his outstanding game on special teams, Thayer made five receptions for 60 yards (12.5 yards/catch).

Kalamazoo College (0-1) will host The College of Mount St. Joseph (0-2) on Saturday at 1 p.m.
