Brant Haverdink Named MIAA Defensive Player of the Week

Kalamazoo College junior linebacker Brant Haverdink of Hamilton (Hamilton HS) was named MIAA Defensive Player of the Week after the Hornets defeated Colorado College 23-19 this past Saturday.

Haverdink recorded 14 total tackles (7 solo). He also intercepted a pass, had a quarterback sack, and had two tackles for lost yardage.

On the season, Haverdink leads the Hornets with 52 total tackles. He has two interceptions, two and a half sacks, and six tackles for lost yardage.

Kalamazoo (2-2) opens MIAA play on Saturday, Oct. 14 when they host Hope College (3-1) at 1 p.m.
