CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. - The Kalamazoo College baseball team won its season opener 4-0 at Wabash College on Saturday. Wabash won the second game, 1-0.

Ben Tucker pitched a complete-game shutout in the opener. He scattered five hits while striking out three and walking one. Brent LeVasseur was 2-for-4. Nathan Brouwer and Garry Penta each had a hit and an RBI.

Taylor Host took the loss in the second game. The only run allowed was unearned. Host allowed only three hits while striking out five and walking six. The Hornets had only two hits in the game, both off the bat of Joe Wicklander.
