ANN ARBOR - Kalamazoo lost a non-conference
game 9-5 at Concordia College despite out-hitting the hosts, 13-11.
Kalamazoo took a 3-1 lead after the second inning, but Concordia's five-run
third inning put the game out of reach.
Ross Gladding was 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two stolen bases. T.J. Thayer
was 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles. Joe Wicklander was 2-for-3.
Zach Burton started on the mound and pitched the first two innings. Terry
Brock entered in the third and took the loss. Ben Tucker, Justin Swinsick
and Garry Penta each saw time in relief.
Kalamazoo is now 7-21 overall. The Hornets host Olivet College in an MIAA
three-game series this weekend.
