April 9, 2001 - Kalamazoo College vs. Spring Arbor College
KALAMAZOO - The Hornets were held to just
three hits in a 14-0 loss to Spring Arbor College this afternoon.
Pat Ellis, Ross Gladding and T.J. Thayer each had singles for Kalamazoo.
Kalamazoo committed five errors in the game, resulting in 11 unearned runs.
Garry Penta (1-4) suffered the loss. Rick Sharp struck out three hitters
in two innings of relief work.
Kalamazoo falls to 4-11 on the season. Spring Arbor is now 17-10. The Hornets
return to action on Wednesday when they host Orchard Lake St. Mary's College
at 4 p.m.
