April 5, 2001 - Kalamazoo College vs. Aquinas College
KALAMAZOO - Kalamazoo College managed just
three hits in a 14-2 loss to Aquinas College this afternoon.
Conor Lefere, Jim Hurd, and Ross Gladding each singled for the Hornets.
Pat Ellis and Brent LeVasseur each had an RBI in the eighth inning. Ben
Tucker pitched well in relief, giving up two hits and no runs in the fourth-thru-seventh
innings.
Aquinas scored 14 runs on 15 hits. Brentt Backing was 2-for-3 with a home
run and 4 RBI.
Kalamazoo falls to 4-10 on the season. Aquinas is now 20-4. Kalamazoo returns
to action next Monday, April 9 when they host Spring Arbor College at 4
p.m.
