Baseball falls at Spring Arbor
SPRING ARBOR - The Kalamazoo College baseball team suffered a 3-2 loss
in a nine-inning, non-conference game at Spring Arbor this afternoon. The
Hornets tied the score 2-2 in the top of the seventh, but Spring Arbor
answered with the eventual game-winner in the bottom half of the inning.
Kalamazoo had runners on first and second with one out in the top of the
ninth, but a double-play ball ended the Hornets' quest for a comeback.
Dave Adamji was 2-for-3 with two walks. Each team had six hits. Kalamazoo
left 11 runners on base while the Cougars left nine stranded.
Kalamazoo returns to action Sunday, April 9, when they host Orchard Lake
St. Mary's.
