Baseball drops doubleheader to Hope

KALAMAZOO - The Kalamazoo College baseball team dropped both games of a doubleheader to Hope College this afternoon, falling 5-4 in the first and 12-1 in the second.

After trailing 4-0 in game one, Hope managed to come-from-behind with one run in the fifth, three in the sixth, and the game-winning run with two outs in the bottom of the seventh. Ben Tucker pitched a complete game for Kalamazoo and suffered the loss. The Hornets had only three hits in the game.

Kalamazoo fell behind early in the second game, and Hope scored in every inning except the fifth to roll to a 12-1 win. Dave Adamji and Steve Lucas each had two hits for Kalamazoo.

Kalamazoo travels to Orchard Lake St. Mary's on Sunday.
