Baseball drops first game to Hope

KALAMAZOO - The Kalamazoo College baseball team fell dropped the first game of a weekend series with Hope College today, 6-1.

After a scoreless first five innings, Hope scored two runs on a pinch-hit single to left field. The Flying Dutchmen added three more in the seventh and one in the eighth. Kalamazoo's only run came in the bottom of the eighth when Dave Adamji scored on a Ross Gladding sacrifice fly.

Hope had 10 hits to Kalamazoo's seven. Adamji and Brent LeVassuer each had two hits.

Saturday's doubleheader begins at Noon.
