Baseball falls to Aquinas 

KALAMAZOO - The Kalamazoo College baseball team fell victim to a hot-hitting Aquinas College team today and suffered a 19-2 loss.

Aquinas pounded out 16 hits and took advantage of 11 walks and five Hornet errors to improve its season record to 27-14-2. The Saints scored seven runs in the third inning to blow the game open before scoring seven more in the fifth.

Kalamazoo scored runs in the second and fourth innings while scattering five hits. Joe Botke had a double. Kurt Wagner had his first triple of the season. Wagner and Jim Hurd each had an RBI.

Kalamazoo returns to action this weekend when they host Hope College on Friday in a single nine-inning game at 4:00, followed by a doubleheader Saturday afternoon.
