Baseball: All-MIAA Honorable Mention (1994); All-MIAA 2nd Team (1995); All-MIAA 1st Team (1996); American Baseball Coaches Association Division III All-Region Team (1996); Team MVP (1994, 1995, 1996); Team Captain (1996); Holds 2nd all-time school record in career batting average (.361, 4th all-time in runs scored (79), 3rd all-time in hits (141), 2nd all-time in doubles (26), 2nd all-time in RBIs (89), and 1st all-time in stolen bases (44); Tied for 1st all-time in triples (11) and 2nd all-time in home runs (11) Football: All-MIAA 1st Team running back (1993); All-MIAA 2nd team (1994); Holds 6th, 8th, and 10th place school records for rushing yards in a single game (157, 149, and 146); Career totals include 1,647 rushing yards and 22 rushing touchdowns

Coach and Professor – 1969-2003
Physical Education professor; Department of Physical Education Chairperson and Men’s Athletic Director from 1988-2003; Golf coach for nine years, his teams won two conference championships; Assistant football coach for fifteen years; Interim head football coach for one year; Assistant baseball coach for eight years; Head men’s swimming and diving coach for thirty-five years; Winningest men’s swimming and diving coach in the history of the MIAA; Coached twenty-five MIAA swimming and diving championship teams; His swimming and diving teams made twenty-six trips to the NCAA Division III Championships and finished in the top ten thirteen times; His swimmers and divers earned 335 All-American certificates; Career record of 293-67 overall and 172-11 in the MIAA

The Kalamazoo College Athletic Hall of Fame
was created in 1986.
Teams were inducted for the first time in 2007.
Inductees must have attained distinction at Kalamazoo College
as athletes, coaches, or individuals closely associated with
athletics. Athletes must have been students in good standing
while at the College, but graduation is not a requirement.
No one may be inducted fewer than five years following graduation
or departure from the College. Individuals may be inducted
posthumously.
Nominations for the Athletic Hall of Fame are accepted on
a continuous basis. They should be submitted with as much
supporting information as possible to the Office of Alumni
Relations, Kalamazoo College, 1200 Academy Street, Kalamazoo,
Michigan, 49006.
